Deacon Armin Raunigk

Deacon Armin Raunigk (and his wife Deacon Gabriele) worked as managers for many years at the Faraja Diaconic Centre at West Kilimanjaro, with Mission One World, concluding their roles in 2019. Mission OneWorld, in collaboration with the Rummelsberg communities, had been sending Deacons (and their husbands or wives) to help establish the Faraja Diaconic Centre at Kilimanjaro since 1994.

A new era began when the new Tanzanian managers of the Diaconic Centre were ceremonially inaugurated in 2019. The heads of training Senior Brother Goodluck Emmanuel Nnko and Rector Elirehma Kaaya, together with General Manager Samson Mphuru, will provide leadership at the Faraja Deaconry.

In 2019, the Faraja Brethren had 33 in active service and around 25 in training. Among other things, they help disabled children, provide medical aid, care for orphans and attend to the financial administration of church facilities.

Deacon Armin has now returned to Germany.
