Regions & Groups
To foster close relationships and meaningful exchange, in addition to DIAKONIA being divided into three regions, the DRAE region is further organised into smaller groups. Each group is accompanied by a member of the Executive Board who serves as a key contact person and link between the board and the organisations within that group.
In this role, the board member maintains regular communication, shares important information and supports organisations in addressing questions and challenges. They also ensure that invitations to conferences, encounters and regional activities reach all members, encouraging participation and strengthening the sense of belonging within the community.
At the same time, they represent their group within the board by bringing in updates, experiences and concerns and contribute to sharing stories and insights from their groups.

This structure creates a reliable framework for dialogue and mutual support. It helps to ensure that diverse voices are heard and that the experiences and concerns of member organisations are brought into the wider regional and global conversations. Through these relationships, DRAE remains a living network shaped by trust, accessibility and shared responsibility.
